Ekin-Su Cülcülolu stated that she sought medical attention after being ill a few days before the Dancing On Ice launch.
The Love Island winner is one of 11 celebs, including TOWIE’s Joey Essex and The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswara, who will compete on the ice in the ITV blockbuster series.
The celebrities will perform intricate routines to impress judges Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, and Oti Mabuse in order to be proclaimed champion of the rigorous competition.
On Dancing On Ice, which premieres on Triggerpoint on Sunday, the reality TV star will be teamed with professional ice skater Brendyn Hatfield.
However, on Thursday, the 28-year-old revealed on Twitter that she was’very ill,’ hoping to recover in time for the first show, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
She wrote: ‘Very Ill. doctors have told me to rest hopefully I can recover very quickly ready for Sunday.’

‘Omg:((pls rest and get well soon,’ wrote another, while a third added, ‘So sorry to read this – lots of rest, I know Davide will take care of you.’
Many more expressed their hope that Ekin-Su would feel well in time for Sunday and that they were ‘praying’ for her quick recovery.

Ekin-Su has previously spoken about experiencing a serious injury while preparing for Dancing on Ice.
In a November episode of Good Morning Britain, she explained: ‘It’s gone now but there was a bruise. I’ve lost a toe [nail], but anyway! It’s fine. It went backwards, but it’s great. That is gonna explain how my training is going.’
She also said to Daily Star that practising routines was brutal, adding: ‘It’s very intense but I’m loving every minute of it.
‘My whole body hurts.’
