Due to his size 13 feet, Darren Harriott had to have ‘expensive’ ice-skating boots custom constructed for him.
The 34-year-old comic will compete on the rink against The Vivienne, Ekin-Su Cülcülolu, and Joey Essex.
Darren and partner Tippy Packard will compete for the attention of Dancing On Ice broadcasters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, and Oti Mabuse.
Before hitting the rink, the comic, who wears size 13, said, ‘I’ve got enormous feet, I don’t skate, and I can’t dance!’ My family has already placed bets – they’re betting on me falling in the first episode!’
He’s also stated that he had custom-made boots manufactured for him.
Chatting to reporters before of taking on the ice on Sunday, Darren revealed: ‘I’ve got the biggest feet they’ve ever had on the programme’.
Sitting next to him, co-star The Viv added: ‘He’s had to get his boots custom-made for his skates!’
Darren continued by saying he’d been using ‘plastic hockey skates’ for six weeks of training.
‘It took six weeks, they’re the most expensive boots ever!’
The Viv finished: ‘And the biggest boots you’ve ever seen!’

‘You should see the tracks that they leave on the ice,’ Darren said.
This comes after Darren revealed a horrible injury, indicating that his forearm was slashed open by Tippy’s sword.
‘My biggest fear, I don’t really have it anymore, all my fears are now sort of gone, since I’ve fell on the ice countless times, I’ve received whiplash, yesterday I sliced my arm open with my partner’s blade, they had to glue my forearm together,’ he said.
‘What other fears are there! Maybe I fall through the ice? That’s all that’s left. Whiplash, there’s a bit of bone sticking out here.’
Ouch!
Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
