The Vivienne of Dancing On Ice has disclosed that an agonising ailment from a year ago had flared up amid her intensive training.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner, who is paired with pro Colin Grafton, is among the celebrities who will compete for the title of champion of the new season, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The Great British Sewing Bee participant is competing against Ekin-Su Cülcülolu and Joey Essex, with the goal of impressing judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, and Oti Mabuse.
So far in the series, Siva Kaneswaran has revealed that he suffered a concussion just days before the premiere, while Joey has been posting updates on a horrific finger injury.
And now, just days before the first event, The Viv has announced that an old injury has returned.
‘I’ve had a groyne issue from a year ago that’s reared its ugly head,’ she told reporters before of the concert.
‘I’ve kicked myself in the shins a few times… but nothing too bad.’

This comes after the 30-year-old declared she’s in the ‘greatest shape of my life’.
‘It’s got me in the best shape of my life, honestly,’ The Viv said on Friday’s Lorraine. ‘I lost over two stone.’
‘But I put a bit on after Christmas,’ she added laughing, with Lorraine laughing that ‘everybody does’ indulge during the festive period.
Lorraine then asked: ‘What about injuries because everyone always asks that?’
‘I’m quite lucky,’ she began. ‘Because when I’m skating in drag, underneath all this is three inches of foam on each side of my hips. It gives me the illusion of Jessica Rabbit.
‘So I fall and I bounce straight back and I’ve got a crash helmet on,’ the reality TV star added, gesturing to their wig.
‘I’m all sorted; I bet all the other celebs are jealous.’
Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
