After showcasing his impressive business on the show Dragons’ Den when he was only 18 years old, the grandson of the legendary presenter David Dickinson had three investors fighting over him.
When Myles Dickinson-Brown entered the room, he approached notable individuals such as Deborah Meaden, Sara Davies, and Peter Jones and offered them a share in his company.
The young man gave the Dragons a pitch for his business, which involved creating stylish individualised credit cards, and asked for £35,000 in exchange for a 35% stake in his company.
However, the investors were blown away by more than just his impressive pitch and the fact that he was already running a successful business at such a young age.
Strictly Come Dancing star Sara understood that Strictly Come Dancing contestant Myles must have “entrepreneurialism in [his] bones” because he had just passed his A-Levels and spent £5,000 of his own money that he had earned by selling old goods on eBay.
‘Is that upbringing, is that genetic?’ she asked, as Myles explained that his dad ‘runs a mortgage business’ and his granddad ‘is on TV’.
After asking a few more questions, the Dragons were stunned to learn that Myles’ grandad was none other than the legendary David Dickinson. This revelation took a few more questions to uncover.
The television personality, David Dickinson, is perhaps best recognised for his role as host of the show Dickinson’s Real Deal; however, he has also appeared on other shows, such as Bargain Hunt, and has hosted his own programmes, including The David Dickinson Show and David Dickinson’s Name Your Price.
Peter, who was clearly pleased, remarked, “Wow, he’s really good,” and then proceeded to offer Myles the very investment he had been seeking.
He wasn’t the only one.
The future of Myles’ company was in the hands of Steven Bartlett and Touker Suleyman were both interested in having a financial part in it.
They were prepared to put up a fight.

‘I am so honoured that they have to copy me,’ Peter joked, before Myles turned the tables and asked the Dragons what they could do for him.
‘Time is what you’re going to get for me,’ Touker replied, before Peter commented: ‘Nobody has mentored, helped and assisted more young people in Britain than me.’
However, it was Steven’s response that ultimately swayed Myles’ opinion.
‘I’m going to go one step further, you can come and work in my office with me and my team,’ he offered, before battling Peter over TikTok views.
‘I am the guy for this business,’ Steven told Myles, before his offer was ultimately chosen.
Dragons’ Den airs Thursdays at 8pm on BBC One.
