Louis Walsh may live in a house full of cameras on Celebrity Big Brother, but this is not his first experience with a ‘bugged’ dressing room.
The former X Factor judge, actual name Michael Louis Vincent Walsh, has caused a sensation as Sharon Osbourne’s sidekick on the reality programme.
His attitude has already sparked concern, as the 71-year-old music manager hasn’t held back as he and Sharon name-dropped during breakfast.
While ruminating on the Big Brother housemate, Dermot O’Leary said that Louis had informed him on the X Factor that his dressing room was ‘bugged’.
On This Morning, Dermot laughed as he said: ‘He’s baffling sometimes, I love him so much.
‘I’ll never forget, I went into his dressing room after an X Factor day and there’s a few people sat down on the sofas and he said “come here, come here come here.”‘
When the presenter inquired why he brought Dermot into the bathroom, he answered, ‘We have to be in the toilet, the journalists are invading my room.’
From 2007 until 2017, the couple collaborated on the popular ITV singing competition, and they have stayed friends since.
Shocked by the revelation, the presenter replied: ‘Louis you’ve got five journalists in there, nobody needs to bug your room.’
‘You’ve just introduced them all and they’re all sat drawing pictures,’ he joked.
Fellow host Josie Gibson burst out laughing as Dermot calmed down and said, ‘I mean, he’s so much fun.’
Louis has been stirring controversy among Big Brother viewers since not everyone believes he is ‘fun’ because he disobeyed the rules, as revealed on the Late and Live programme.
The camera turned to Louis, who was sitting with Lauren Simon in the Wheelie Bin of Shame for an unknown cause, which will be revealed on tonight’s programme.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV while Celebrity Big Brother airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV1.
