Michael Praed of Emmerdale has been eliminated from the Celebrity MasterChef quarter-finals.
After failing to convince judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, the 63-year-old actor, best known for his portrayal as Robin of Loxley in the series Robin of Sherwood, was sent home.
Michael faced up against Love Island‘s Luca Bish, fellow Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh, and Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.de.ap in three culinary challenges.
Michael’s stint on the cookery programme, however, came to an end.
After hailing the experience a ‘pleasure’ he said: ‘Obviously it would not be human if I weren’t disapointed, but it is what it is.
‘I shall look back on MasterChef with tremendous fondness’

For his first duty, Michael collaborated with Apl.de.ap – actual name Allan Pineda Lindo – to make Japanese pancakes, but they both burned them.
But Michael’s concoction wowed John, who described the flavour as “really really good.”
Fans lauded the actor’s efforts, with one adding, ‘Cheerio Michael.’ You are a scholar and a gentleman. ‘We’ll miss you.’
Michael’s elimination comes after the Strictly Come Dancing pro said a tearful farewell to the competition.
‘Dianne, honestly we hope you have enjoyed it,’ said Greg after John announced her departure.
‘I feel gutted to be the first one to go home.’
Struggling to hold back her tears she added: ‘I think eliminations get to me, I am used to them though but they never get easier.’
Celebrity MasterChef continues tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One.
