Fans mocked Matt Hancock during Friday night’s episode of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins when he had to inquire how much paracetamol he could take.
Despite being the previous Health Secretary, the 45-year-old was uncertain about the laws regarding one of the world’s most regularly used medicines.
Turning to his co-stars as he looked at his medical supplies, he asked: ‘What’s the maximum amount of paracetamol you can take?’
Amber Davis then replied, without hesitation: ‘Eight.’
However, Hancock still wanted to be sure, responding: ‘Is that the recommended or the actual [sic]?’
‘Maximum,’ the 30-year-old Towie star responded.
‘So Matt Hancock is supposedly a health secretary [sic], he’s just asked what the maximum intake is on paracetamol,’ posted one stunned viewer on X (formerly known as Twitter).
‘Matt Hancock, the former health secretary who guided us through a global pandemic, has to ask how many paracetamol he can take. Actually lost for words,’ added another.
‘Oh wow did I just hear right, ex health secretary #MattHancock doesn’t know how many painkillers he can take in a day!!’ shared someone else.
‘Former Secretary of State for Health Matt Hancock asking how many Paracetamol you can take. Wow,’ chimed in another fan.
‘Former Health Secretary doesn’t know how much paracetamol you can take in a day. Lucky he was completely on top of Covid. Oh, hang on…,’ observed a separate viewer.
To the amazement of his remaining rivals on the programme, including Teddy Soares and Gareth Gates, Hancock stated that he had four pills ready to consume since he needed to ‘keep stacking them all day now’.
As Teddy asked if he was worried about being medically withdrawn from the show, Hancock responded: ‘Yeah. I’m worried about the doctor having a good feel and finding out I’ve got a cracked rib and that’s me [done].’

During Sunday’s show, the disgraced MP was also interrogated in his pants by a Liz Truss impersonator, who yelled at him about his’moobs’.
Forced to stand up in just his underwear and even forbidden from crouching down to put his socks on, the interrogator observed: ‘You’re a man that likes to put it about a bit, stay on your feet.
‘I’ll tell you something that’s really fascinating me. Really fascinating me, because with all due respect, you’re not a good-looking guy, are you?’
‘Pubes on your chest, moobs,’ she added.
‘So how do you do it Matty, babe, huh?’
Hancock later called it ‘one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done and a very unpleasant experience’.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs on Sunday November 5 at 9pm, stream or watch live on Channel 4.
