Hamza Yassin was left in tears after an emotional show dance as his dancer partner Jowita Przystal showered him in praise, despite a few mistakes made.
Documentary-maker Hamza has made it to the Strictly Come Dancing final, despite his lack of confidence over the weeks.
He’s now battling it for the glitterball trophy against Helen Skelton and partner Gorka Marquez, Molly Rainford with Carlos Gu and Fleur East with Vito Coppola.
Performing their emotive show dance, while viewers were supporting Hamza all the way, the judges noticed a few mistakes that they couldn’t help but comment on.
‘Well it was the first time Hamza that I saw a little panic, so it went wrong and took a few seconds, and I know felt to you like a lifetime, to be keep going,’ Shirley Ballas began.
However, she applauded his lift at the end, saying it was ‘not easy to do’, despite the ‘one or two’ mistakes made.
Meanwhile Anton Du Beke praised the lift, calling Hamza a ‘master’ and ‘brilliant’ after Jowita’s lifts made it look ‘easy’.
‘Rocky and underwhelming’, Craig Revel Horwood commented, adding: ‘I was expecting more.’
He added a touch of praise at the end, saying: ‘Nut it was classy and classic like yourself.’
Motsi Mabuse concluded the judges’ comments, saying: ‘You showed us you’re human.’
‘You made a mistake and you went on, and we have that all in our daily lives.’
She added that he ‘certainly’ brought the audience and judges ‘joy’ with the emotional performance.
Despite the mistakes, Jowita couldn’t help but shower Hamza in praise.
‘His gentle soul, his kindness, his strength, his ability of lifting me up, and I think he did it so well.’
She continued: ‘I need to tell you, I’m so proud of you that you didn’t stop, and you continued and made it happen.
‘I’m so proud.’
