*Warning: This contains spoilers for Happy Valley season 3.*
Who can forget Kirsten McAskill’s (Sophie Rundle) untimely and horrible murder at the hands of Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) in Happy Valley?
Viewers of Sally Wainwright’s drama, in which Sarah Lancashire plays Catherine Cawood, are predicting another terrible death at the end of the BBC hit series.
Their notion is supported by the fact that the Gentleman Jack scriptwriter has stated that season 3 of Happy Valley would be the final season, leading some to believe that a final full stop is in the works.
So far, the six-part drama set in Calder Valley has been filled with tension and drama, with Catherine unable to accept that her grandson Ryan (Rhys Connah) has started dating his father.
Furthermore, the copper was handed the ultimate blow when she discovered that her sister Clare (Siobhan Finneran) and her boyfriend Neil (Con O’Neill) had been accompanying the kid to Sheffield for the previous year.
At work, Catherine is also looking into the gruesome death of Gary Gaggowski, whose body was discovered washed up in a reservoir eight years after he was slain, with the suspect assumed to be connected to the crime family, the Kneevis.
Joanna Hepworth (Mollie Winnard) is consuming illegal prescription medications to deal with her violent husband Rob (Mark Stanley), who has also had an altercation with Ryan.
The distraught mother-of-two even suggested to her dealer – and neighbourhood pharmacist – Faisal (Amit Shah) that they plot to murder Rob since she sees no other way out of the dominating relationship.

And that’s the least of Faisal’s worries, who is straining to keep up with the Joneses and has resorted to selling narcotics on the side to maintain his family’s lifestyle, while also encountering local goons.
They threaten him and tell him that if he continues to sell drugs without giving them all of his income, they would go after his two young girls, while Catherine is also sniffing around the drug operations.
With so much going on, viewers fear that one of the characters’ lives are in severe danger.

Many fans on Twitter, despite calling the performance ‘mesmerising’, believe Sarah’s Catherine will die at the end of the series, with Tommy being behind the murder.
‘Anyone else think Catherine is going to die at the end of this series?,’ a viewer asked, while another pointed to the sergeant’s ‘retirement’ as a clue she could be killed off.
They remarked: ‘Why did I miss they most coppers die within five years of retirement last time or at least don’t remember I don’t like this it doesn’t bode well?[sic]’

Others thought that Clare, after becoming embroiled in Tommy’s web, may be killed off, and that Ryan might end up following in his father’s ways.
‘Claire and Neil, someone will die accidentally at that hand of Ryan due to Tommy-Lee Royce’s influence,’ as one social media account put it.
While the group has kept the conclusion a secret, Siobahn has previously hinted what fans can anticipate from episode 3 on This Morning, telling hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that there would be a lot to take in.
She said: ‘All I can really say about that is I think you’re gonna have to fasten your seatbelts for episode three.’
Happy Valley continues on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
