Holly Willoughby returned to This Morning on Monday morning after missing the broadcast due to sickness.
The 42-year-old actress stated early last week that she had shingles and had to rest for a few days as she healed, but she is now doing’much better’.
She said: ‘It’s nice to be back. I’m much better. I had a wobbly week and a half. If anyone’s had shingles, it’s really not the nicest thing, but yes, I’m much better.
‘All mended and back!’
Holly had previously informed her fans that she ‘may be away’ from the show for a while following her diagnosis, but pledged to ‘come back as soon as I’m better’.
She claimed over the weekend that she was on the mend and that she had finally been outside for some fresh air.

‘And I’m out of the house… the birds are putting on quite the show today… spring sounds beautiful,’ she posted on Instagram on Saturday morning, alongside a photo of her Golden Retriever Bailey.
Her message drew a lot of love and sympathy from people who wished her well and wished her a swift recovery.

‘Shingles is awful. Hope you are ok,’ one person posted, while someone else added: ‘Glad you are feeling better.’
Rochelle Humes, 34, of The Saturdays and Hit List, has been standing in for Holly this week, presenting from Monday through Thursday.
Meanwhile, Phil returned to This Morning on Monday following a hiatus for the Easter holidays and his brother Timothy Schofield’s trial, telling viewers that it was ‘lovely to be back.’
His sibling was recently found guilty at Exeter Crown Court of sexually assaulting a teenage boy over a three-year period, after being charged with 11 sexual crimes involving a minor between October 2016 and October 2019 – two of which involved sexual conduct with a juvenile.
Following the guilty conviction, Phil released a statement in which he stated that he ‘no longer’ had a sibling.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
