Wylde Moon, Holly Willoughby‘s lifestyle, health, and advice company, wrote a mysterious tweet regarding ‘coincidences’ and’secret messages’ only days after she returned to This Morning following Phillip Schofield‘s shocking confession.
Holly took an early-half-term vacation from the ITV show after Schofield, 61, left the show amid accusations that he and Holly were ‘barely communicating’ behind the scenes and that their relationship had cooled, but he said they were still ‘best friends’ at the time.
He then resigned from all of his ITV duties, including presenting the British Soap Awards, after disclosing on This Morning that he had a ‘unwise but not criminal’ affair with a young male show runner while still married to Stephanie Lowe, which he claimed he lied about.
On Monday, Holly, 42, returned to This Morning alongside Josie Gibson, and said: ‘Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you ok? I hope so. It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil.’
She continued: ‘I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on and full of questions.
Just a few days later, the Wylde Moon Instagram account posted something mysterious.
‘Are coincidences secret messages from the universe?’ the image read.
It was posted alongside a caption saying: ‘We all love a ‘Sliding Doors’ moment, but are meaningful coincidences really a sign of beautiful serendipity that hold greater meaning than seemingly ‘random’ chance?’
The tweet included a link to an essay by neurologist Matt Johnson on “serendipity.”
In it, he said: ‘As human beings, we’re very uncomfortable with ambiguity. We have to have some explanation – even if it is otherworldly. We need to make it make sense.
‘If we’re devoid of any clear explanation, we bring in our own meaning. That’s what seems to produce feelings of serendipity.’
The article concluded by saying ‘life is full of surprises’, as it read: ‘Serendipity reminds us that life is full of surprises and that there’s always room for magic and meaning.
‘So, let’s embrace the unexpected and allow serendipity to guide us on our journey.’
After Schofield’s bombshell confession, Willoughby took to her Instagram stories to say: ‘It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.
‘It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie. Holly.’
It has subsequently been claimed that Willoughby would not raise Schofield’s infidelity again following her statement on Monday’s This Morning.
An insider shared: ‘This is the only time Holly will ever speak about Phil and what has happened.
‘She still feels incredibly angry and upset by his actions and is very much still trying to get her head around it.
‘It took a lot for Holly to compose herself and speak about what has gone on in the last few weeks. But people expecting her to sit and pour her heart out will be waiting for a long time,’ they added to The Sun.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
