Long before she pressed the button, a girlband star donned a very on-trend red outfit on The Michael Barrymore Show – and kept it a secret until now.
Sugababes, please. Mutya Buena has revealed a humorous video of herself being interviewed by the performer for his popular 90s programme when she was just’seven or eight’ years old.
For whatever reason, she was adamant not to let the film become viral, but she gave up when it began making the rounds on TikTok.
Mutya says Michael in the video that she cleans the kitchen, bathroom, toilets and everywhere else around the house.
She laughs as she claims her parents ‘sometimes’ give her 50p or £1 each week.
Mutya finally admitted his mistake and shared the humour on TikTok.
‘So I been hiding this till now and TikTok found it on @Michael Barrymore show,’ she wrote.
‘I was 7 or 8 singing on his show, I had the big dress big hair & thrilly socks I also lied about cleaning.
‘I’m over embarrassed but I mites well put it up since I’m being tagged in this… anyway enjoy.’
What a queen.
Sugababes’ original lineup of Mutya, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy has made a comeback of a lifetime since reclaiming their names and endlessly touring the country, closing down stages at Glastonbury, and they’re about to play their biggest gig yet, headlining London’s 02 Arena.
Almost ten years after recording what was supposed to be their first album together since One Touch, they eventually released The Lost Tapes to critical acclaim on Christmas Eve 2022.
