I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! viewers have been left outraged as Nigel Farage edges towards the finale.
On the most recent episode of the show, the former UKIP leader escaped yet another elimination and is now one of six campmates vying for the championship.
When it came time for the latest elimination, it was EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, well known for her role as Lola Pearce-Brown on the popular BBC serial.
Danielle spent a total of 20 days in camp after switching Albert Square for the Australian jungle until the audience chose to throw her out.
Regardless of the outcome, Danielle told presenters Ant and Dec that she was glad for the experience and that there were times when she forgot they were being followed by cameras and instead felt like she was just ‘camping with buddies’.
While she accepted the decision, many onlookers at home were left ripping their hair out when Nigel survived another day in Australia.
Many disappointed fans flocked to social media shortly after the results were published to voice their displeasure.
‘Danielle is such a wonderful, kind, sweet woman and everyone who voted to keep nigel in over someone like her should be deeply ashamed of themselves,’ viewer Maria wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
User Em wrote that ‘my mind just cannot comprehend the fact that people want to see Nigel on their tv over Nick and Danielle’.
Another fan, Holly, added: ‘How has Danielle gone before Nigel?! I thought the public were rioting over the fact he was on the show before it started.’
Josie Gibson is the only woman in camp now that Danielle has departed.
The This Morning star will now be up against Nigel, Sam Thompson, Marvin Humes and Tony Bellew in the upcoming finale. When asked who she wanted to win, Danielle backed Made in Chelsea star Sam, saying he filled camp with an enthusiastic ‘energy’ and kept spirits up.
When asked who she wanted to win, Danielle threw her support behind Made In Chelsea star Sam, who she said filled camp with an excitable ‘energy’ and kept spirits hight.
‘I’m so glad this was my year,’ she said.
‘It has been such a great group of people.’
