Jamie Lynn Spears has been added to the season 32 cast of Dancing With The Stars, and her partner has already been selected.
The 32-year-old Britney Spears‘ younger sister was confirmed to appear on the latest broadcast of Good Morning America, with Ariana Madix and Charity Lawson, who were previously confirmed.
In relation to the decision, the Zoey 101 actress stated that she will be giving her DWTS earnings to Sag-Aftra and the WGA during the present strikes.
‘I don’t know if one could ever be 100% ready to take on something this big,’ she said. ‘I didn’t realize what a commitment it is but it definitely is. I’m ready to challenge myself and also, being able to do it for a reason that means a lot to me.
‘While everybody in my community is on strike in Sag, I have this unique opportunity where I was offered a chance to work when my community cannot work.
‘So I figured I’ll do this and I will donate my weekly salary to Sag and WGA, to just give back to them at a time where they can’t give back to themselves.’

Jamie Lynn will compete alongside pro Alan Bersten, and they have already been rehearsing ahead of the debut later this month.
The actress is no stranger to dance, having grown up practising ‘tap, jazz, and ballet’ before pursuing a career as a cheerleader.
Discussing her efforts so far, Alan praised: ‘We had our first rehearsal and it’s been great. Jamie Lynn is so hard-working and so dedicated and it’s actually so much fun. We get along so well.’
‘He’s been wonderful. My family got to meet him and he’s been great. I wouldn’t rather do it with anyone else,’ Jamie Lynn added of the reaction to her stint.
‘My 15 year old [Maddie] actually was very motivated for me to do this, which was so surprising.
‘She’s an athlete, I think she wanted to see me push myself. Typically I’d be working on different ventures but I think it’s just important that I have this opportunity.
‘If I get up there and even if I embarrass myself, I’m doing it for a good reason and hopefully giving back to the community that’s literally given back to me since I was a little girl.’
On Wednesday, the whole cast will be revealed on Good Morning America, ahead of the season debut on September 26.
