Life in the jungle is never easy, but after two days, Jamie Lynn Spears says that she wants to go. I’m a celebrity.
With a major and unexpected brawl between Fred Sirieix and Nella Rose, as well as Jamie Lynn’s incessant sobbing, camp has been a touch stressful as the celebs settle in.
The American actress has struggled to be apart from her two daughters, Maddie, 15, and Ivey, 5, and constantly expresses her longing for them.
Jamie Lynn, 32, who for the first time acknowledged her sister Britney by name on the programme, was hoping to obtain her luxury gifts – a frequently emotional and uplifting occasion for the performers.
She sobbed again as Sam Thompson, Marvin Humes, Danielle Harold, and Grace Dent went to compete in a mini-game called Hold Your Nerve to win camp supplies.
The heinous task consisted of lifting a box with two spades while being showered with green ants, cockroaches, and other nastiness.
Jamie Lynn was waiting for her two images of her children to console her since she misses them terribly, but the gang neglected to return hers.
After this sadness, she hurried to the jungle telegraph to cry, calling the task ‘torture’ and claiming it was unjust to place that duty on the campmates.
She wept again, announcing ‘I quit’ to her other campers as they attempted to calm her down.
Fans were shocked that she was giving up so easily, writing on X (Twitter): ‘Oh dear I really think Jamie Lynn just needs to go home. It’s literally day 3.’
‘Oh Jamie-Lynn, I sorta get the outburst but there’s no need to quit the show. Also I think she doesn’t know what she’s signed up for,’ someone else said.
Another added: ‘I actually could’ve put money down that Jamie Lynn would have a breakdown. If she doesn’t actually quit I’ll be so shocked.’
After considering her options and deciding not to bother her campmates, the singer stated that she would not be departing.
She may come to regret this, since the British public voted for her in the next trial, sparking another wave of tears from the actress.
I’m A Celebrity continues tomorrow on ITV and ITVX at 9pm.
