Katie Price may have achieved enormous success on reality television, but she’s made her feelings about this year’s Love Island summer season clearly apparent.
The ITV2 tournament is nearing its conclusion, with islanders such as Whitney Adebayo, Lochan Nowacki, Ella Thomas, and Tyrique Hyde still in the running for the £50,000 grand prize.
Maya Jama has been presenting the show, going inside the villa to give the participants shocking news and diving into the current turmoil on Sunday’s sister show Aftersun.
However, Katie claims that the current season of Love Island has not lived up to her expectations.
In a TikTok live, the former I’m A Celebrity contestant began by asking her audience who had seen the show this year.
The 45-year-old then added, according to The Sun: ‘It’s just so set up now that it’s coming to an end, isn’t it? I just think it hasn’t worked this year.’

‘None of them are solid couples and the parents are going in to meet them. Not for me,’ she added.
The model does, however, have a definite favourite islander, stating that she adores Whitney, who has also proven very popular with Love Island fans on social media.
While Love Island may not be Katie’s cup of tea this year, she is hoping that her children, Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, whom she has with her ex-husband Peter Andre, will follow in their parents’ footsteps and go on I’m A Celebrity.
‘I’m A Celebrity has to be the best reality show, Junior and Princess really want to do I’m A Celebrity,’ she said on a recent TikTok.
‘I just hope that the show is around long enough for them because I think that it has gone downhill a bit, personally.’
Katie shared some of her most vivid recollections from her time in the forest in 2004, such as the sound of crickets in the evening and the scent of a bonfire.
‘It really is a unique experience,’ she summarised.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
