Kim Kardashian found herself apologising for her daughter North West’s slightly unusual dietary suggestion of eating raw onions with the skin still on.
North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, are the reality TV star’s four children with ex Kanye West.
Her eldest has been featured on the family’s Disney+ programme more and more in recent episodes, with Kim revealing she’s ‘taught me a lot about life’.
Including, it appears, how to consume vegetables.
Kim spends some quality time with North in the kitchen preparing sushi in a new episode of The Kardashians.
‘Everyone thinks I don’t know Tupac, but I do,’ North tells the camera at one point, before showing off how she can cut cucumbers ‘with both hands’.
‘Oh wow, you should FaceTime Aunty Kendall,’ Kim jokes, in a reference to that viral moment.
In a confessional, Kim later adds: ‘North is really special, and smart, and creative and definitely beats to her own drum.
‘Her personality is really, really silly.’
She goes on: ‘It’s so interesting because her temperament as a child is the same now.
‘You definitely just come out your own person.
‘Kourtney [Kardashian Barker] always says North is my lesson on this planet,’ she adds.
‘It means I’m supposed to learn even more patience, she teaches me patience.
‘She teaches me a lot about life.’
As the camera cuts back to the kitchen, North is caught eating a raw onion – with the skin still on.
Interrupted from telling North about her prison visits, Kim is stunned at her daughter, asking: ‘Can you eat it like that?’
‘You want some?’ North then asks her mum, as she continues to bite into it.
‘You’re just going to eat an onion like an apple, this is what she does people, she eats veggies like an apple,’ Kim tells the camera crew.
In between onion pieces, North wonders what her mother does before adding Kim’s jail labour is “good.”
‘Oh my gosh, this onion breath is going to make me cry, it’s so strong,’ Kim later jokes after North seems to have finished her onion.
The Kardashians airs on in the US and is available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.
