Leigh Francis responded to the internet haters who ridiculed his body.
The comedian, better known as Keith Lemon, is preparing to embark on a whirlwind tour of the country dubbed Leigh Francis: My First Time, playing as himself for the first time.
Some of his most recognisable characters will appear in the programme, including TV personalities David Dickinson, Ant and Dec, and many others.
During Tuesday’s episode of The One Show, the Celebrity Juice star told presenters Jermaine Jenas and Alex Jones that his upcoming tour will help him improve his health.
‘I guess I’ll lose so much weight because someone online said I’ve put so much timber on,’ he said.
He sarcastically added: ‘Aren’t they kind? That’s because I’m old. I’m 50.
‘I’m only going to get more timber I’m sure.’
In April, the comic celebrated his milestone birthday by holding a lavish costume party.
With participants such as Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, and Fearne Cotton going all out with extravagant and amazing costumes, Amanda Holden was forced to skip out.
Sharing a photo of the two of them smiling together in thick coats and scarves on her Instagram Stories, she wrote in the caption alongside a champagne toast emoji: ‘Sorry to miss your celebrations.’
Following up with another photo on Saturday night, she added: ‘Love you @keithlemon.’
Holly dressed up as Margot Robbie’s role in the next live-action feature, while Phillip and Joel Dommett both dressed up as Anchorman superstar Ron Burgandy, one of actor Will Ferrell’s most popular characters.
The One Show is airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
