Loose Women has been chastised for a’sexist’ discussion with Mark Wright in which he was frequently referred to as nude.
The former Towie star, 36, appeared on Loose Women on Thursday, when he chatted with panellists Kaye Adams, 60, and Coleen Nolan, 58.
The reality TV star appeared on the ITV afternoon show to talk about his upcoming marathon and his arduous training regimen.
After discussing his jogging routine, former Strictly Come Dancing judge Kaye said, ‘I sense a bit of a tight quadricep,’ to which Mark replied, ‘It is a touch tight.’
The broadcaster, who had previously discussed nude Education, then told him, ‘Maybe you just need to get nude,’ and Mark shyly laughed.
But after chuckling awkwardly, Mark did joke: ‘That was in the changing rooms ten minutes ago, you missed it.’
Later in the conversation, Mark mentioned his passion of cleaning, turning to Coleen, who appeared astonished and questioned, ‘What’s wrong with that?’
‘Nothing,’ she replied flirtily as she fanned herself.
‘Oh, he cleans the house, goes to the gym, he’s not bothered about being naked,’ Coleen continued, looking rather hot under the collar.
Coleen had previously inquired as to ‘what gym’ Mark works out at after he stated that he frequently forgot he was nude in the changing rooms.
Fans were quick to brand the interview as ‘sexist’, with one Twitter user saying: ‘Imagine if 4 blokes did similar to a female on live TV.’
‘Oh look a bunch of women objectifying and perving over a young bloke,’ another remarked.
‘[The Loose Women] are happy to objectify a man but when the shoes on the other foot #loosewomen,’ a third commented.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
