After the Goop founder released her Father’s Day Gift Guide, Lorraine Kelly urged Gwyneth Paltrow to’stop’ peddling sex toys for fathers.
And to the astonishment of ITV daytime presenter Lorraine, Gwyneth’s new line includes one of her raunchiest items to date: a $219 (£176) ‘hands-free toy for prostate stimulation’ by Lelo.
Lorraine, 63, has previously mocked Gwyneth’s intriguing antics, such as biting a vagina candle and a $100,000 (£805,000) bath tub that appeared in her 2020 wild Christmas guide.
Now, however, the Iron Man actress may have gone too far, at least in Lorraine’s eyes.
Speaking on Wednesday’s edition of her programme, the host began: ‘Gwyneth Paltrow, never fails does she?
‘Her Goop thing has released a Father’s Day gift guide, and for goodness’ sake, their latest offering – I’m not kidding you – includes a £10,000 Rolex, £50,000 Arctic Circle trip, but the gift that has got everyone talking, and not in a good way, is giving your dad a sex toy costing £160.’
Lorraine continued: ‘And apparently they suggest that you buy this sex toy, I shall leave it to your imagination as to where that sex toy goes… you can guess, for your dad!’
‘Stop it! Gwyneth stop!’ she urged.
‘You’ve gone too far, it has to stop right now.
‘Your dad would never speak to you again!’
This follows Lorraine’s comment on Gwyneth’s 2020 Christmas guide, in which she stated she ‘doesn’t want to force any drivel up herself.’
‘You can get sustainable bog roll a lot cheaper than that and I don’t want a lamp made of bread,’ she said.
She added: ‘And I don’t want any nonsense things you shove up yourself either, thanks.’
We can only presume Lorraine was referring to Gwyneth’s controversial vagina cleaning products, including a ‘vaginal cleansing brush’ that was criticised by gynaecologists.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1.
