Love Island 2023 revealed its cast for the forthcoming winter series in South Africa, and among the romantic hopefuls was TikTok’s shirtless farmer Will Young.
The 23-year-old has an idea of what life is like in the public glare after vlogging his daily existence on a Buckinghamshire farm to over one million viewers.
Will posts videos of himself shearing sheep, rescuing animals from muddy pools, sowing seeds, and constructing pig cages – all while shirtless and bronzed from his active lifestyle.
The internet sensation has his admirers swooning from morning to night after posting a behind-the-scenes glimpse at his rural house.
The viral phenomenon arrived in South Africa ahead of the ITV match on January 16, swapping his characteristic Barbour jacket for surf shorts and a bed in the famed house.
Will’s most popular video, which has over a million views, shows him courageously rescuing a sheep that got caught in a mud puddle.


In shorts and a military green wax jacket, he sat down close to the animal and began explaining the situation to his followers.
He climbed into the hole and proceeded to work, revealing that he needed to get his hands dirty in order to release the sheep.
Other clips showed the country boy getting up up and personal with farmyard acquaintances while dancing in the midst of the field to his favourite tunes.


‘Having grown up on a farm, it’s been quite challenging combining relationships and work,’ the aspiring reality star said of his impending appearance on the nation’s television screens.
‘Love Island will give me time away from the farm to solely go out and find love.’
He continued to explain: ‘I think I’m at the time of my life where I’m mature enough to go and find a wife.’
Will addressed his spiritual side and how he’ll find inner quiet if the villa gets too much for him, providing more insight into the type of character viewers may expect to meet.
‘Every night I light a candle and meditate for 20-25 minutes.
‘A girl I was seeing told me to meditate, I tried it and loved it. I stopped seeing her and carried on meditating!
‘It’s a nice way to self reflect, taking a minute on my day/ week. It’s really nice and sets me up for a nice sleep.’
The social media content creator also revealed his ambitions for after his TV debut, citing David Attenborough as an inspiration.
Sharing he’d love legendary broadcaster Sir David Attenborough, 96, to play him in a film one day, Will said: ‘Imagine hearing his calming voice talking while he’s feeding the animals, his top off, some short shorts… he would rock it.’
Love Island starts at 9pm on Monday January 16 on ITV2 and ITVX.
