Jake Cornish, the star of Love Island, appears to be moving to Hollywood after earning a significant film role.
The 25-year-old participated in season seven of the yearly dating programme before quitting with ex-girlfriend Liberty Poole.
After leaving the villa, Jake avoided the spotlight, but he recently revealed he would be appearing in the upcoming movie Mr. Hyde: The Untold Story.
He posted a picture of himself in costume on Instagram with the caption, “Meet DI Jacobs.”
‘Over the moon to announce that I am playing such a big role in the new @mrhyde_2022 untold story film.’
He added: ‘Who knows ? New change of career. I’ve always wanted to be involved in films and here we are. An actor I can’t wait to get started on filming.’
Jake isn’t the first Love Island celebrity to get significant film roles.
Star of Winter 2023 Olivia Hawkins has revealed that she will take part in Fast X, the upcoming Fast and Furious movie.
She revealed to former islander Toby Aromolaran on his Fancy A Chat? Podcast, “I performed a sequence in the latest Fast and Furious.
Toby asked: ‘Fast and Furious 10?!’
‘Yeah. In the party scene,’ Olivia confirmed. I don’t know when it’s coming out.’
She also explained that she shot scenes in London, not Rio De Janeiro, where filming for Fast X also took place.
Tasha Ghouri, who will appear on Love Island 2022, claimed that she was very close to joining Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the eagerly anticipated Barbie movie.
She tweeted: ‘Fun fact I got to the final round of the Barbie film audition as a dancer but didn’t get the job – filming was at same time as LI [Love Island], crazy how the universe works.’
