Olivia Hawkins and Kai Fagan of Love Island took a big step forward in their romance on Friday’s episode, enjoying a hot terrace kiss.
Olivia was recently involved in a love triangle with Tom Clare and Zara Lackenby-Brown, while Kai was dating Tanyel Revan.
But, as we all know, things move quickly in the villa, and the duo shared a kiss following the steamy kissing challenge on Thursday.
Olivia began their conversation on the patio by informing Kai that she was ‘nervous’ about kissing the teacher in the challenge.
‘I actually didn’t want you to kiss me in the challenge,’ he replied.
The 27-year-old then questioned: ‘What, you want to kiss me out of a challenge?’
As they cuddled up and enjoyed their first kiss, spectators were taken aback by how rapidly things had progressed.
‘Ngl, Olivia and Kai’s kiss cringed me out,’ one wrote, while another penned: ‘Are Kai and Olivia meant to be adults? What is this “you want to kiss me outside of the challenge?” nonsense?’
Several others questioned Olivia’s worry in the prior challenge about Tanyel kissing her ‘best friend’ Ron Hall (who has unfinished business with Lana Jenkins) so passionately, when she went on to kiss Kai.
‘Lemme get this straight, Olivia is mad that Tanyel kissed Ron but she’s lipsing Kai????’ one questioned.
Someone else penned: ‘Why was Olivia bothered about Tanyel + Ron if she wanted to kiss Kai?’
Meanwhile, on her way to the Beach Hut, Olivia, who was blushing, remarked, ‘It was so lovely, it’s just good to share a kiss with someone who I genuinely enjoy.’
‘Don’t go telling everyone,’ she jokingly warned, before Kai compared their terrace snog to Tom secretly kissing Ellie Spence, sparking a whole load of villa-drama.
Love Island continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
