Ovie Soko has hit back at a woman who questioned why people loved his Love Island appearance and said his sole attribute was his height – we think a court-ordered rewatch of season five is in order.
If only we had the authority to do so!
Love Island has been back on our screens for over a week, and with each new season, viewers can’t help but remember some of the prior residents.
Ovie, who featured in the 2019 season of the programme, is one name that keeps popping up.
The 32-year-old basketball player wooed the nation with his protective energy for bestie Amber Gill, his catchphrase’message’ whenever someone received a text from producers and, of course, his ‘I’m tired’ line after Anna Vakili threw him into a love triangle with Jordan Hames, which became one of the series’ biggest memes.
A fan believes his vibe would be a good match for the current series, and wrote: ‘Ovie should’ve been in this season sorry.’
One particular Love Island viewer doesn’t agree with his Love Island hall of fame status and tweeted: ‘Maturing is realising Ovie brought nothing to the table but height. He’s not even funny or interesting!’ Harsh!

She later added: ‘Ovie if you see this I’m joking x’
Unfortunately, Ovie saw the first tweet and replied to it in a hilarious manner.
The 6ft6 reality star made a return video that opened with ‘Esther baby,’ the Twitter handle of the individual who made the statement.
He continued: ‘What did I do? I woke up this morning, I checked Twitter and I see your tweet.’
He continued with his statement after letting out a loud chuckle.
‘I didn’t even earn that one.’ He added that it was ‘unnecessary,’ and concluded by once again laughing at the situation.
