Mae Muller has praised supporters for their support following the United Kingdom’s poor performance at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
The artist performed on Saturday night at the competition’s Grand Final in Liverpool on behalf of last year’s champions Ukraine.
Following Sam Ryder’s spectacular performance in the 2022 competition, Mae’s tune I Wrote A Song did not do as well, with the UK finishing last and Sweden’s Loreen winning for the second time with Tattoo.
Following the results, fans flooded the actress with messages of love and congrats, and Mae has now come out in favour of every country that competed in the 2023 tournament.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: ‘I just want to say thank u x.
‘I know i joke a lot but we really put our all into the last few months, not the result we hoped for but so proud of everyone & what we achieved on this journey.

‘Congrats to all the countries, I’ll never forget this journey and I love you all.’
Her gracious response has resonated well with viewers – and other acts, with Ukraine’s TVORCHI sending a love reaction, and Eurovision presenter Rylan Clark writing: ‘We love you so much and couldn’t be prouder of you.’
Hundreds of fans responded in their droves to tell the star how proud they were of her, with one urging her to ‘keep your chin up.’

While the excitement within the stadium was incredible, Mae was unable to capture the attention of voters or the judges, finishing with 24 points, barely six points ahead of last place Germany.
Sweden won the tournament with an astounding 583 points, and Loreen became the first woman and just the second person to win twice.
Loreen, 39, who previously won in 2012, narrowly defeated Finland’s Kaarija after combining public and jury votes.
The Grand Final included a surprise appearance by Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, a famous performance by Sam Ryder – which puzzled some viewers who believed they misheard him – and Mel Giedroyc totally dominating the show.
Loreen will return Eurovision to Sweden on the 50th anniversary of Abba’s spectacular victory, which catapulted them to international success.
