Married At First Sight UK fans can expect to be crying tonight after a spoiler clip has revealed possibly the most beautiful moment in series history.
Before the four new brides and grooms are introduced, the couples are tasked by the experts to choose one thing that they would change about their partner. A risky challenge, you may think, but Adrian Sanderson knocks it out of the park completely.
Speaking honestly and openly to his husband Thomas Hartley, Adrian picks quite possibly the most thoughtful aspect that probably wouldn’t have crossed any of our minds.
‘I would change situations in life that have led you to your defences,’ he tells him.
‘I would change every one of them, and I would stand there in front of them and bat them away.
At this point, Thomas, is visibly overcome with emotion, naturally.
‘Can I just say, I respect you, you’ve listened and heard me, and I love you as a person and I really care about you,’ he replies.
‘You mean the world to me.’
Breaking down in tears, Thomas continues: ‘Thank you for having my back.’
‘That’s alright,’ Adrian responds. ‘It’s alright.’
And it’s not just Thomas who is blown away by Adrian’s declaration, as the experts are also taken aback.
Mel Schilling admits: ‘That is the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever heard in all of my time in this experiment.’
The moving scenes come just one day after the newlyweds tore into each other in an explosive spat, in which Adrian branded Thomas a ‘gas lighter’.
‘You are f*****g pathetic’, Thomas hit back, before Adrian said: ‘This is it, I feel like I’ve finally been pushed over the edge.’
Who would have thought that Adrian and Thomas could put their differences aside to come back from that? Not us.
