Jermaine Jenas may be kicking himself for disclosing he had a tattoo of his wife’s face after Michael McIntyre made light of the art.
The former professional footballer and The One Show presenter was the famous guest on this week’s edition of Big Show, but it was a casual conversation at the start that got him into trouble.
Michael, who had invited his wife Ellie, was inquiring how the pair, who have three children together, met when Jermaine answered it was in a nightclub.
Jermaine admitted that while it was ‘love at first sight,’ he had to work hard to court her.
‘I had to do a bit of convincing and I had to really graft for it,’ he said
Jermaine stated he was riding the high of a win after mentioning one of his most legendary matches, but Ellie, who jumped in and made it clear she’s a Chelsea supporter, broke things off between them.
‘I just wasn’t feeling it,’ she laughed.

He wanted to make things formal and for people to know’she’s mine’ while he was abroad playing for England.
Jermaine jumped in to amend his choice of words, saying that sounded ‘terrible,’ but Michael ran with it, asking, ‘What did you do, did you tattoo her?’
‘Well I do have a tattoo of her actually,’ he shared.

‘That’s the night I met her,’ he explained, referring to a snapshot of her from the time.
Taking off his jacket, Jermaine displayed it to Michael, who said, ‘Ok, no wonder she ran for the hills, JJ.’
‘Tattoo, that face, my body,’ he joked while recreating how he thinks JJ might have looked dancing around in the nightclub.
Sharing the anecdote seemed to come back to haunt him later in the programme when the results of the Send to All portion began to trickle in.
Robbie Williams responded savagely after Michael shared a shirtless photo of Jermaine working out, titled it ‘beautiful,’ and forwarded it to his contact list.
‘If by perfection you mean tattoos you could only choose out of the 1990s then sure, you’ve achieved genius level’.
Jermaine, clearly a good sport about it all, rolled with the blows and couldn’t stop smiling as further texts that completely roasted him continued to pour in.
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show airs on Saturdays at 8pm on BBC One.
