Viewers of Dancing on Ice aren’t happy with the recent elimination of celebrity contestant Michelle Heaton.
The 43-year-old vocalist of Liberty X took to the ice with her professional partner Lukasz Rozycki on Sunday night’s programme, skating to All That Jazz from Chicago.
The judges were unimpressed with her performance and gave her a dismal score of 20.
Michelle’s performance failed to impress the viewing audience, and she was eliminated without even making it to a skate-off.
Michelle remarked following the announcement, “I’m just so gutted.”
‘I’ve loved every second of it and I loved everything that I just did there.’

Reacting to the vote, one viewer fumed: ‘Well that was just ridiculous! Michelle was robbed. Better than at least two left what the hell?’
Another said: ‘Michelle you did fantastically well! Devastated for you. Head up and be proud. You’ve inspired myself and many others over the last few years. Go on ye girl ye!!’
One other weighed in: ‘This is why I hate so many public voting competitions, no way did Michelle deserve to go home. How can someone who fell over, spent 20+ seconds not even skating and off screen get kept in the competition?’
Sharing their disappointment over the result, another viewer tweeted: ‘The whole show is a scam. Why did they ditch the skate off? Funnily enough the week Michelle happened to be in the bottom? I’m fuming. So so angry for her.’
Many viewers were disappointed that there would be no skate-off this week, and instead they could vote to eliminate a contestant instantly.
The skate-off, in which the two competitors with the fewest votes from the audience face off in a final performance, is expected to return next week.
Michelle, who was supposed to be on the programme a few years ago but was unable to due to her drug difficulties, had a particularly difficult experience getting there.
Former footballer John Fashanu was the first celebrity to be booted off the programme, and this weekend it was Michelle’s turn.
Dancing On Ice airs Sundays on ITV1.
