Mike Tindall has responded to accusations that Matt Hancock is not a member of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2022 cast’s Whatsapp group, and explained why they don’t actually talk after leaving the jungle.
The former health secretary was the camp’s first royal, joining Boy George and Seann Walsh on the reality show, which was won by Lioness Jill Scott.
Shortly after the celebs returned to reality, A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas stated that the stars have a group chat, but Hancock is yet to be joined.
The A Place In The Sun host said it was up to admin Tindall to ask Hancock to future meet-ups, but that the former West Suffolk MP could be ‘too busy’.
She had said: ‘Ultimately we’re all going to try and stay in touch, which is important.
‘We’ve all got our little WhatsApp group and we’re all messaging all the time so hopefully that doesn’t die down.’
‘I don’t know,’ she replied when asked if Hancock would be joining the activities.
‘I’m not the admin of that WhatsApp group so if Mike wants to invite him he absolutely can, but it’s not me to put the invitation out so we’ll see what happens.
‘He might be busy you never know, he’s doing a lot of stuff, he’s got a lot of press coming up so he might be too busy.’

However, it has now been revealed that Hancock was always a member of the gang – despite the fact that he is not very popular among the campmates.
‘I think there’s been a miscommunication with that, no one has left the WhatsApp group.’ Tindall said of allegations that Hancock opted to leave the Whatsapp group.
‘I’m actually seeing Sue [Cleaver] tomorrow, and I’ve seen Sue a few times and spoken to Baba [Aleshe] and pretty much spoken to everyone.’
He continued: ‘Well, we try to but it’s not easy. You always have these grand plans when you’re in the jungle but you come back and remember what life was before.’
Despite the fact that they were all busy with their lives outside the forest, Tindall stated that he would ‘of course’ talk to Hancock again, saying, ‘Why wouldn’t I?’
I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on ITVX.
