Mo Gilligan was left mortified when it was revealed that Jessie Ware had forgotten they had met previously.
The musician and podcast host appeared on The Lateish Show with Rio Ferdinand, Jack Whitehall, and N-Dubz, but had an unpleasant moment during the introductions.
He began: ‘Jessie not only are you killing it as a musician, you’re a sensational musician.
‘I think the first time I met you was at BBC Radio 1.’
A stunned Jessie replied: ‘I’ve never met you.’
‘We have! We’ve met!’ Mo insisted.
‘I would remember,’ Jessie continued, adding: ‘I love you! I’ve never met you!’
‘This is mad embarrassing,’ Mo added, reminding Jessie of where they did, in fact, meet.
‘It’s come back to me,’ she finally admitted.
During the chatshow, Jack made a sly remark regarding Mo’s humorous ‘Sam Capaldi’ mix-up.
Following his rapping performance, the comic quipped that he was ‘Sam Capaldi,’ referencing to Mo’s Brit Awards gaffe.
During his presenting stint, he introduced singer Lewis Capaldi by pairing him with either Sam Smith or Sam Ryder, albeit which was never established.
‘I have to apologise, I did call him Sam – it just goes to show how strong the drinks are at the Brits. They’re not playing around!’ he later quipped light-heartedly.
The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan airs Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4.
