A newsreader in Tennessee was captured in incredibly beautiful situations when she noticed she was promoting her own proposal.
Cornelia Nicholson was filming in front of the cameras when her boyfriend Riley Nagel, a fellow journalist, arrived on set and proposed.
Cornelia initially assumed she was introducing another narrative, but when she saw photographs of herself and her lover emerge behind her, she realised something was wrong.
She began: ‘Coming up now we have the story of two young journalists who just so happened to find love in the same industry.’
As her partner came on with ‘a special report’, a blushing Cornelia couldn’t hold back her grin.
Riley entered view in full broadcaster mode, saying: ‘That is right Cornelia, I do have a very special report for people at home who maybe don’t know.
‘Cornelia and I met in news back in Montana at our news station almost four years ago.

‘And when I first met you, I was very drawn to you.’
Things turned emotional as he continued: ‘You have such an amazing personality, and you’re so bright and always light up the room when you come in and make everyone laugh.
‘And you’re so talented, especially in news I think anyone who watches you knows that.
‘You’re the main reason I’m still in news today.’
Choking up, he added: ‘You’re always pushing me to be better in news and in other aspects of my life.
‘And I thought it would be fitting to ask you this question here since we met in news.’

Going down on one knee, as they both held back their tears, he said: ‘Would you marry me?’
Of course, she said yes, and he – though ‘shaking’ – gave her the ring.
As the clip played to viewers, Riley filmed another segment saying: ‘Alright well they don’t call me the romance reporter for nothing.’
‘I get a little emotional once in a while,’ he added.
Riley confessed that Cornelia had anticipated the proposal, but proposing on stage had taken her by surprise.
Sharing the clip on TikTok, Cornelia wrote: ‘Still at a loss for words @RileyNagel hid this so well. I am so excited for our future together.’
