The ‘fallout’ between Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield has apparently spilled over into This Morning.
For the last week, the presenters have been fronting the ITV programme as usual, but viewers have seen small’signs’ that things may not be as rosy between them behind the scenes.
The couple were supposedly absent from a preview of Monday’s episode, while Holly allegedly changed her Twitter bio to exclude Phil.
According to the latest reports, ITV has conducted ‘crisis discussions’ concerning Phil’s future on the show.
‘ITV chiefs have now convened meetings to consider what to do next amid the duo’s disagreement,’ according to the Daily Mail.
According to the magazine, the broadcaster was also concerned about Phil’s declining popularity among viewers.
Holly, 42, and Phil, 61, regularly co-host the show Monday through Thursday, but This Morning would not confirm if this will happen next week.
This follows a ‘devastated’ Phil having a ‘tense’ phone discussion with Holly.
A source said: ‘Things have been difficult between them, but for it to play out so publicly was the last thing Phil was ever expecting.
‘He has spoken with Holly over the phone about how this all played out.’
The insider added to The Sun: ‘He’s devastated by it all and is incredibly upset.’

Phil issued a statement to address the swirling claims, which reportedly caught Holly off guard because she was unaware of his plans to speak out.
Phil said: ‘As I have said before, Holly is my rock.
‘We’re the best of friends — as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.’
He continued to The Sun: ‘Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her.
‘The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us.’
Recent weeks have seen changes to their ITV daytime programme, as Holly suffered from shingles, requiring Alison Hammond and Rochelle Humes to fill in.
Meanwhile, Joel Dommett filled Phil’s place when he was on vacation from the programme due to his brother Timothy Schofield’s sexual assault prosecution.
