Priyanka Chopra has let us in behind the Met Gala curtain, and it turns out the meal isn’t all it’s built up to be.
The Citadel actress, 40, accompanied husband Nick Jonas, 30, to Anna Wintour’s New York fundraiser in memory of the late Karl Lagerfeld.
The guest list for the annual celebration was a who’s who of Hollywood, with celebrities competing to outdo one other with jaw-dropping cat suits, dramatic new hairdos, and pregnancy announcements.
But, beneath the glitz and glamour, the stars were ravenous, with the sit-down meal missing one essential dish, Priyanka revealed on Good Morning America on Thursday.
The Love Again star confessed: ‘I have a complaint: there was no bread for dinner. I was so hungry after.
‘Maybe I have unrealistic expectations, but one roll of bread would be sufficient.’

However, Priyanka’s knight in shining armour arrived in the form of her husband, who ordered more substantial food.
She continued: ‘My husband ordered pizza by the time we got to the hotel, so we were fine.’
‘There goes my invite for next year. If you don’t see me at the Met, you know why,’ Priyanka joked.
According to Vogue, the stars were served chilled spring pea soup with baby vegetables, lemon crème fraîche, and truffle snow, followed by Ōra King salmon with vegetable nage, asparagus, pickled strawberries, and radish.
Priyanka seemed to having a good time at the Met and couldn’t stop herself from mimicking Doja Cat’s ‘awkward’ interview with Emma Chamberlain on the red carpet.
The Bollywood diva also recently revealed how a botched face surgery cost her three films and sent her into a despair.
The mother-of-one added that her doctor discovered a polyp in her nasal cavity and suggested surgery to remove it, which Priyanka did.
However, she said on The Howard Stern Show that the surgery went wrong, with the doctor removing the bridge of her nose and causing it to collapse, significantly changing her look.
‘It was a dark phase,’the star admitted as she looked back on it.
‘This thing happens and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression.’
