Martin Kemp and Roman Kemp clearly have a tight bond.
So much so that the father and son combo share personal grooming recommendations that would make others shrivel up within.
Martin, 61, joined Vernon Kay, 49, Tommy Fury, 24, and Paul Sinha, 52, on the panel of Loose Men on Thursday to discuss a range of issues, including body hair.
They highlighted the critical point that individuals should not be embarrassed to discuss how much hair they have or do not have on their body.
Martin said that he has been interested in personal grooming since he was a child, saying, ‘I pull the razor out while I’m sitting on the toilet and I sort it out.’
However, his son Roman, 30, recently provided him some extremely important advise on how to keep oneself well-pruned, in the radio star’s opinion.
‘Listen, my boy gave me some good advice the other week,’ Martin began, as The Chase star Paul quipped: ‘Here we go.’
The Spandau Ballet star continued: ‘He said to me, “Personal grooming, when you’re sitting on the toilet. You’re doing it wrong, because you need to sit the other way around on the toilet and groom it.”’
The crowd in the ITV studio chuckled as Vernon stared at the camera, a bewildered expression on his face.
Martin explained further: ‘That was, all the hair drops down the toilet. It doesn’t end up on the floor.’
Vernon recommended asking Roman about his tactics the next time he appeared on the show, and his co-star agreed.
In July of last year, Roman explained why he participates in Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his father, and his explanation was heartbreaking to say the least.
‘Gogglebox I do because it’s with my dad. The reason I chose Gogglebox is that I know that when I’m older and when he’s not here anymore, I can say to my kids and my grandkids, “This is the relationship I had with my dad.” So that’s why I do it,’ he shared.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
