Scarlett Moffatt has confessed that she attempted to tease her baby’s name before giving birth to her first kid.
The 32-year-old former Gogglebox star revealed in February that she and partner Scott Dobinson were expecting a child together, later revealing that the child would be a son.
Scarlett not only disclosed she’d given birth to a baby named Jude Xavier Dobinson on Thursday, but she also released a series of intimate photos during her delivery.
But she’s now revealed that she was dropping hints about the name she’d chosen in numerous social media postings.
‘I know I’m biased and have lots of Oxytocin running through my body right now,’ she began a post on Instagram, which was shared alongside a photo of her son sleeping.
‘But I can’t believe this bundle of beautiful is our baby boy.
‘We’ve had so much love for Jude’s name.’
She added: ‘I did try and give you clues with the constant Beatles music in the background of my stories.’
‘But thank you for the love and well wishes. Also I’m doing great after the whirlwind of him coming so early, thank you so much for asking 🥰🤍.’
Scarlett announced her son’s arrival on Thursday, saying she “couldn’t stop weeping” and that Jude arrived early, at 35 weeks.
Addressing her son she wrote: ‘Me & your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy.’
She also thanked her boyfriend Scott Dobinson, their midwives, and the Durham Hospital NHS team.
‘You will all forever hold a special place in my heart for looking after us all with such compassion. Let the baby bubble commence,’ she added.
Scarlett is best known for appearing alongside her family, parents Mark and Betty and sister Ava-Grace, on Gogglebox from 2014-2016.
She went on to win the sixteenth season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2016, and she has subsequently performed in shows such as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
