Scott van-der-Sluis stunned audiences at the Love Island annual talent contest with his try at a karaoke song, giving Millie Court’s piano solo a run for its money.
The 22-year-old Welsh footballer was the last to perform, and he chose to scream out Emeli Sande’s Read All About It in front of the other islanders on Monday night.
The custodian struggled to keep up with the music and missed a number of cues, but his fellow contenders filled in the gaps, turning the occasion into a communal sing-song.
Fans and spectators went to Twitter to give their thoughts on the goalie’s efforts at a belter.
One wrote: ‘Scott I had to turn my volume down I’m so sorry,’ while another joked the budding star could be the frontman for a trio with Millie’s piano playing from a previous season and Indiyah Polack’s recorder solo: ‘They finally found there singer [sic]’.
‘OMFG… what the hell was Scott thinking.. i genuinely hid behind a cushion while he ‘sang’ [sic],’ was a viewer’s response to the rather cringe-worthy moment.

Whitney Adebayo, 25, and Tyrique Hyde, 24, delighted audience members with their rap as they teamed up to present the islanders to a duet they didn’t know they needed.
‘Whitney and Ty ‘bad b***h, drop it now?!’ claimed one online admirer. [sic],’ ‘This Whitney and Ty combination was too funny, but I truly loved it,’ said another.
The surviving islanders grew emotional at the villa as they pondered over their parents, siblings, and friends surprise them the day before.

Aside from his singing, Scott became the group’s talking point during the programme, which aired on ITV 2, because his partner Abi Moores, 25, questioned their relationship.
She admitted to her pals in the house that she was a quick mover when it comes to relationships and that she was struggling to establish a spark with the player.
When Abi’s mother visited the Spanish house, she urged her to give it time and told her daughter that she was witnessing a bond emerge between the two.
Meanwhile, Scott sought guidance from his mother after feeling he wasn’t on the same page with his partner and requesting more time to explore the prospective romance.
Love Island continues at 9pm tomorrow night on ITV 2 and ITV X.
