Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim admitted his private relationship with ex-girlfriend Chrishell Stause was ‘difficult.’
The former couple split after they weren’t able to agree on the future of their relationship, with the former actress looking to start a family while the businessman was unsure if he wanted children.
Prior to their split, the Oppenheim Group owner, 45, revealed they kept their romance a secret for two months.
‘We kept that private for a while, but we were so careful,’ he said.
‘And that was so difficult. I didn’t want to go through that again,’ he added to People Magazine.
Although the TV personality previously said he had no interest in filming/being in another relationship again, Jason has found love with Marie-Lou Nurk.
Jason met the 25-year-old model while on holiday in Mykonos with twin brother Brett Oppenheim, and just ‘had to say hi’ to her.
Despite insisting that he had no plans to show another relationship on camera, Jason also teased that Selling Sunset viewers would get a glimpse into their love story as the model has filmed ‘a couple of times’.
And he’s already thought about marrying the star.
‘I’m more open to being a husband than I am a father right now,’ Jason said.
‘I like the idea that there’s no pressure, or a thought about having to have a child with Lou. So it just makes it easy for us.’
Marie-Lou added: ‘I think for the next ten years, I’m good. And that’s a long time, so I’m not even thinking about it yet.’
As well as this, Jason has introduced her to Chrishell, who is said to be ‘super supportive’ of the pairing, though it is not clear whether they shared scenes on the Netflix series.
‘Chrishell and I are in a really good place. We’re both in love and happy for each other,’ he added of his ex, who is currently dating Australian musician, G Flip.
‘It was such a mature and honest relationship, and I definitely leaned into the idea of having a family for the first time in my life really, like that seriously. But at the end of the day, I had to be honest with myself and I didn’t feel like I was there.’
Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix now.
