Strictly Come Dancing winner Hamza Yassin and Giovanni Pernice are alleged to be feuding over Jowita Przystal, with both unfollowing the other on social media.
After winning the most current series of the popular BBC programme, wildlife cameraman Hamza and his professional partner Jowita hoisted the glitterball trophy.
The duo triumphed against fellow finalists Fleur East and Vito Coppola, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, and Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez.
However, just weeks after the 2022 season concluded, Hamza and Giovanni unfollowed each other on Instagram in response to allegations that the Italian pro is dating fellow Strictly star Jowita.
Both Hamza and Giovanni are thought to have initially followed each other, as well as other participants of the programme, until this week.
The social media snub follows accusations that the television host was ‘quietly devasted’ by Jowita’s affair, with sources claiming he had fallen for the dancer.
‘Hamza and Jowita became very close and at times were quite touchy-feely,’ a source said.
‘People would often see them sneak off together. Obviously, their closeness really helped when it came to them winning the trophy.’
They continued to The Sun: ‘But while Jowita thinks the world of him, she held back from anything romantic and kept him slightly at arm’s length.
‘When it was clear she was involved with Giovanni, the reason for that became clear.
‘But while Hamza wants her to be happy, he was quietly devastated.’
Following their victory, Hamza paid tribute to Jowita. ‘It’s hard to describe how I feel…Jovita you are an angel disguised as a human being,’ he said.
Strictly Come Dancing is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
