Eddie Kadi and Nigel Harman may be competing against each other on Strictly Come Dancing 2023, but the couple appear to have an unshakable connection.
The remaining couples in the competition, with the exception of Amanda Abbington and her partner Giovanni Pernice, returned to the dancefloor on last night’s edition of the BBC series.
Eddie and his partner Karen Hauer finished at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 24 out of a possible 40 for their Samba, prompting fears that the couple would be eliminated by a ‘new curse,’ while Nigel and his partner Katya Jones received a score of 29 from the judges for their Foxtrot.
Tonight, fans will learn the results of the public vote, which will determine which two couples will compete in the dance-off and who will be eliminated.
Eddie, 40, wrote a lovely message about actor Nigel, 50, on his Instagram Story before of the results show, illustrating how close they’ve gotten in recent weeks.
The comedian, who also marked his father’s birthday on Instagram, posted a snapshot of himself with Nigel in a framed portrait.
The two appear to be in a dressing room, with Eddie beaming in the first photo and nuzzled up to a happy Nigel in the second.
A message was attached to the frame, which we presume was written by Nigel.
‘It’s the little things xxx,’ the note read, as Eddie captioned his post: ‘My guy @themeditatingactor,’ tagging the former EastEnders star alongside two diamond emojis.
This is truly giving us all the feels!
Eddie previously said that Nigel is his flatmate when they compete on Strictly, so they’ve clearly spent a lot of time in one other’s company.
Nigel and Katya topped the podium in the first week of this year’s Strictly, receiving 32 out of a potential 40 points for their Paso Doble.
Eddie and Karen finished first in the competition two weeks later with their amazing Couple’s Choice performance to Men In Black during Movie Week.
However, they were pipped to the top of the scoreboard by Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu by only one point that week.
The Strictly results show airs tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One.
