Ellie Taylor had intended to shoot the Royal Variety Performance tonight, but instead found herself in the hospital with her new baby.
The 40-year-old comic announced her premature delivery with a photo of herself and a sneak glance at her baby boy.
She had tweeted a stunning glammed-up photo of herself, dressed in pouring gold and a dramatic cloak in preparation for the annual Royal Variety Performance.
Instead, her beautiful gown was replaced with hospital gowns and swollen socks as her baby son was ushered into the world.
‘This is the wonderful costume I was supposed to be wearing tonight while performing stand-up at the @royalvarietyperformance in front of 4,000 people, including @princeandprincessofwales,’ Ellie, who featured on Strictly Come Dancing last year, tweeted.
‘Swipe to see the actual outfit I’ll be wearing tonight due to the surprise early arrival of my own little
HRH…’
Her son was wearing a small red beanie cap as she cradled him in the hospital bed.
‘Gutted to miss out but also very very happy to be wearing giant mesh knickers and saying “But his skin is just so SOFT!” ten times an hour,’ Ellie continued.
‘Mother and baby doing well because mummy has access to morphine and baby has access to boobies.
‘Wishing the rest of the performers the best night for a fantastic cause! Wishing me 12 hours sleep and a massive Pina Colada (not with the morphine, don’t worry…)’
Ellie is married to Australina reporter Phil Black and has one additional kid, a five-year-old daughter called Valentina.
