Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, star of The Chase, is currently juggling a rumoured new relationship, a career opportunity in the United States, and his young son.
It is often the case that new affections can be all-consuming but although Mark is said to be ‘smitten’ with a television presenter 16 years his junior, the 57-year-old’s other focuses are not being neglected.
When asked if he participates in exams with ‘companion’ Hayley Palmer, he explained that his hectic schedule does not always permit such activities.
‘I’m on the road so much, plus the little matter of a six-year-old boy that I co-parent with, so I try to spend as much time as I can with him,’ he told The Mirror.
Mark has a son with his ex-wife Katie, age 31. In 2020, he attributed their marital problems to their 27-year age disparity and confinement.
Family and romantic relationships are not the only considerations. Mark has been a regular on The Chase since its inception in 2009, and he is also pursuing other filming opportunities in the United States, though he did not specify what they were.
‘I’m going out to film in America next month, and I’m already planning what I’m doing in July and August with Katie to see what weeks work,’ he explained.
She conducts the music programmes At Home With Hayley and Saturday Night With Hayley Palmer, in addition to serving as an entertainment correspondent for GB News.
A close acquaintance of the new couple stated that despite it being “early days,” they were “having a great time together.”
‘They have been friends for some time and recently things developed into something more,’ the source told The Sun.
Recently, the couple has been sharing social media updates of their “dates,” including a beach excursion and a Mamma Mia brunch at London’s O2. Hayley also quipped that she must frequently reach for her heels now that she is standing next to Mark, who is 6 feet 7 inches tall.
