The Crown has officially released the first official image of the actors who will represent Prince William and Kate Middleton in season 6.
The last season will follow the young couple’s relationship after they met at the University of St Andrews.
Ed McVey takes over as the now-Prince of Wales, and Meg Bellamy plays Catherine.
Kate and William are seen holding hands in new photographs from the blockbuster Netflix series, which takes a dramatised approach while digging into the life of the royal family. Both are dressed casually in jeans.
The photo seems nearly genuine, with Meg’s hair dressed in Kate’s distinctive long bruntte waves and William sporting his signature quiff from his earlier years.
Ed looks just like Prince William in another photo, sporting a black jacket, tie, and tan-colored slacks while sitting forward on an armchair.

‘The casting director needs a raise fr,’ someone else suggested, while another person wrote: ‘The perfection.’
One Instagram user hailed the Netflix programme for having’such a fantastic cast’ with their’resemblance’ to real-life royals, while another added, ‘That’s a great kitty, they look a lot like the real ones.’
The Crown’s sixth season will be the series’ final installment.
It is likely to show Diana, Princess of Wales’s, death in August 1997, when Prince William was 15 and Prince Harry was 12.
‘As The Crown enters a new decade, Prince William starts at University at St Andrew’s, aiming to lead as regular a life as possible while he still can,’ according to a summary of the sixth season.
‘Also beginning life as a University student, is Kate Middleton from Berkshire. As the pair meet for the first time on campus, a new romance and a new future for The Crown begins.’
Senan West, the real-life son of Prince Charles actor Dominic West, portrays Prince William in Season 5.
In the last season, Rufus Kampa will play William in his younger years, while Imelda Staunton will reprise her role as the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Dominic was recently seen filming scenes for King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla’s 2005 wedding at St Geoge’s Chapael in Windsor.
Olivia Williams, who plays Camilla Parker-Bowles, wore a wide-brimmed hat similar to the royal’s in real life, and she and Dominic appeared to be having a good time on set.
The Crown season 6 is due to premiere on Netflix later this year.
