Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) jet off together – with Grogu in tow – in the newest installment of the Star Wars series as part of their quest to unite the Mandalorian clans and reclaim their world Mandalore.
On their voyage, they meet two new characters living a life of wealth and extravagance, portrayed by Tenacious D icon Jack Black and multi-Grammy Award-winning singer Lizzo.
The duo the Star Wars universe didn’t realise it required.
The revelation of the pair’s cameos, which came soon before Back To The Future star Christopher Lloyd’s character was also unveiled, has sent fans into a frenzy.
After seeing Lizzo and Jack appear on screen, one watcher confessed that the programme felt like a “fever dream.”
Another could barely contain their excitement that ‘two of their favourite people’ were now a part of Star Wars.
‘Jack Black…. Lizzo…. Christopher Lloyd…. this episode was crazy,’ someone else remarked.
One Twitter user shared that they ‘never knew Jack Black and Lizzo in one screen was something they needed’.
‘I never though in my wildest dreams that this episode of #TheMandalorian, Grogu would be playing cockroach-ball with Jack Black and Lizzo but it happened! And I kind of loved it!’ another stated.
It will take some time for us to fully appreciate the calibre of these acting decisions.
Megan Thee Stallion was recently added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe lore after appearing as herself in She-Hulk.
Tatiana Maslany, the show’s main actress, told Variety that twerking with the rapper in the episode’s closing sequence was “the highlight of my life.”
Recalling the conversation she had with the series’ creator Jessica Gao, Tatiana said: ‘When Jess was like, “We’re writing you a scene where you’re dancing with her,” I basically died. Like, I fell off the planet. I fixated on that moment for two weeks, and I couldn’t talk to her. I didn’t know how to be around her.’
