Lizzo is the newest celebrity to appear on The Simpsons… and it’s about darn time!
Fans will be pleased to learn that the Juice hitmaker – real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson – will appear twice in the series 34 finale.
The last episode of the series, titled Homer’s Adventure Through the Windshield Glass, which premiered in May, is rather self explanatory, with Homer Simpson flying through the windscreen of his automobile following an accident.
According to executive producer Tim Long, Lizzo’s character and Homer forge an odd bond despite her repeated usage of the term ‘b***h.’
‘Well, if we have Lizzo, we should see Lizzo,’ he added to Entertainment Weekly.
‘So we animated a little thing at the end where she is recording her part with the Simpsons. And that’s really funny, too. It’s sort of a weird behind-the-scenes reality.’

And, in case you’re wondering, the flute will undoubtedly make an appearance.
Several expressed their excitement over seeing the chart-topping transform into a Simpsons character, with one tweeting: ‘Can’t wait to see this such an amazing story by the sounds of it.’
Referencing her 2022 single, another added: ‘It’s about damn time!!’
Lizzo joins a long list of celebrities who have previously appeared in the animated series, including Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, and Ricky Gervais.
Meanwhile, Season 33 of The Simpsons debuted last year with the show’s first all-musical episode, starring Frozen actress Kristen Bell.
‘The premiere this year is the most musical episode we’ve ever done – almost wall-to-wall music,’ executive producer Matt Selman informed fans at a Comic-Con panel ahead of the premiere.
‘It’s like a Broadway musical of an episode, with all original songs, and we’ve got Kristen Bell playing the role of Marge’s singing voice. We all love Marge’s voice [Julie Kavner], but this is the singing voice that’s different, let’s just say.’
The Simpsons is available to watch on Disney Plus.
