Winter Love Island 2023 is nearly over, with the winners set to be announced in just a few hours.
Tonight, the four remaining couples will dress up in their finest and proclaim their love for one another before host Maya Jama (undoubtedly dressed in a stunning gown) unveils who will be this year’s victors.
When Jessie and Will were dumped at the last minute, the finalists for this year are Sanam and Kai, Lana and Ron, Shaq and Tanya, and Samie and Tom.
So when does the final begin tonight? How long will the episode run?
Let’s have a look
What time does the Love Island final start?
Tonight at 9 p.m., the Winter Love Island 2023 final will air.
The final will last one hour and 35 minutes, till 10:35 p.m., making it longer than a typical episode of the show.
It will be televised on ITV2, and those who miss it may watch it later on ITVX.
What will happen in tonight’s final?
The islanders are seen taking a dance lesson ahead of the Love Island ball in the first look for tonight’s show.
They then dress up (the males in suits and ties and the girls in stunning evening gowns), and the girls show their looks to the boys one by one.
‘Oh my days, wow,’ Tom exclaims as he notices Samie approaching him, while Shaq tells Tanya she looks ‘unreal’ (aww).
In past finals, the surviving couples took turns confessing their everlasting love for each other (similar to wedding vows) before the host announced the fourth place pair, third place couple, second place couple, and eventually the victors, therefore this year’s final is expected to follow the same structure.
In Series 1-7, the winning pair had the option of splitting the £50,000 prize money or stealing it, which meant that one of them pocketed all of the money for himself (although this never actually happened).
Nevertheless, in the most recent season, this function was removed, and Ekin-Su Cülcülolu and Davide Saclimenti were forced to split the money.
It’s uncertain whether the’split or steal’ option will be available again this year.
The Love Island final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
