With fall upon us and the nights drawing in, all of our favourite TV series are returning to our screens, the most recent being The Graham Norton Show, which will begin its 31st season on Friday night.
Despite claims that producers were struggling to acquire major names in the aftermath of the Hollywood actors’ strike, we can still expect a spectacular line-up in the first programme.
So, who will be joining Graham on Friday night, and when will it all start?
Here’s what you should know…
Who is on The Graham Norton Show tonight?
Graham will be joined in the studio by Kylie Minogue, Stephen Graham, David Mitchell, and Mawaan Rizwan for Friday night’s broadcast.
Kylie is presently promoting her new album Tension, which has been praised as one of her finest ever by reviewers, while Peaky Blinders star Graham will be addressing his restaurant drama Boiling Point, which has been made into a BBC One series.
This week’s guests include Peep Show actor David Mitchell and Taskmaster regular Mawaan Rizwan.
Graham will also perform alongside Mae Muller, the United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2023 entry, who will perform her new single Me, Myself, and I.
In addition, Graham’s iconic Big Red Chair will return, as more unsuspecting audience members attempt to share their experiences with the presenter without getting toppled over midway through.
Of course, it remains to be seen if the actors’ strike will have an effect on the show’s schedule in the following weeks.
While an agreement has apparently been reached to terminate the Hollywood writers’ strike, the actors’ strike continues.
Hollywood went on strike in early July after the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists voted overwhelmingly to walk out after weeks of failed negotiations.
Negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), which represents companies such as Disney, Warner Brothers, and Netflix, failed to produce new contracts.
Members have been requesting higher compensation and more safeguards for AI rights, with performers refusing to conduct movie promotions and a source told the Mirror that even British stars were boycotting press and promotion out of “solidarity.”
What time is The Graham Norton Show on?
The Graham Norton Show will air on BBC One at 10.40 p.m. on Friday.
The show airs for 50 minutes before a rerun of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK on BBC One, which also begins a new season on BBC Three this week.
If you miss it, you can watch it again on BBC iPlayer.
