With a massive brawl breaking out between Zara and Olivia and two Aussie bombshells joining the villa from all the way down under, the winter 2023 season of Love Island has already brought us drama left, right, and centre, and we’re only in the second week!
Many of us rely on this reality programme to get us through the dark days of winter, and we wish it would go on indefinitely.
Sadly, Love Island must come to an end, since two new winners have been chosen.
The question is, when may it be?
Let’s find out.
When could Winter Love Island 2023 end?

An official date for the series finale has not been announced as of this writing.
Despite this, the average season of this show lasts only eight episodes, and in the premiere, voiceover actor Iain Sterling assured viewers that the show will continue airing for the following two months.
The eighth and final season of Love Island premiered on June 6, 2022, and concluded on August 1, 2022. The seventh season premiered on June 28, 2021, and ran from June 28 to August 23, 2021.
Since the premiere was on January 16, 2023 (a Monday), the most likely date for the series conclusion is March 13, 2023 (a Monday).
Don’t worry, though; the summer edition of Love Island will hit screens not long after the winter season concludes (likely at some point in June 2023).
This means that in 2023, for the first time ever, Love Island will be airing for a full four months, or a full third of the year.
The first winter season premiered in 2020, while the second summer season was scheduled to premiere later that year. However, the second season had to be cancelled owing to the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.
What happens in the Love Island final?

The four remaining couples on Love Island exchange heartfelt promises to each other in the finale.
The top three couples’ scores are presented first, followed by the top two, and finally the top pair.
In previous seasons, the winning couple would then have the option of equally dividing the $50,000 prize or keeping it all for themselves (which never happened). However, in the most recent season, the show eliminated this twist, and the prize money was instead equally divided between Ekin-Su Cülcülolu and Davide Saclimente.
Ekin-Su and Davide have had their own reality show since winning the 2022 competition, and Ekin is presently a contestant on Dancing on Ice.
