Former Love Island contestant Zara McDermott, like many others, was watching the new season from home, and she instantly recognised that ladies man Kai Fagan resembled her ex-Adam Collard.
Zara, 26, signed up for the fourth season of the reality dating series in 2018, when she entered the villa as a bombshell.
She married Adam, but they split up 10 days later.
He returned to the show last year, this time with Paige Thorne, but they split up two months later after cheating rumours surfaced.
So, while Zara was watching the opening show and saw schoolteacher Kai, 24, become quite popular with the ladies, she couldn’t help but comment on how he would cause some chaos.
‘Is this Adam Collard reincarnated?!’ she posted on her Instagram stories alongside a video of Kai.
Three women indicated interest in the Islander, with Anna-May Robey, 20, taking the lead.
When Olivia Hawkins, 27, entered the South African Villa, she chose to marry him.
But snatching him didn’t last long once Tanyel Revan, 26, strolled in, and Kai took a step forward to show his interest in her.
Indiyah Polack, 23, and Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, 30, discussed how Kai may be the next Adam on Tuesday’s Love Island: The Morning After.
‘He looks like Adam. He deffo looks like him,’ she said.
She added: ‘He’s going to move like the old Adam not the new one.’
Although Kai used to say he wanted to find a ‘wifey for lifey’, he later told the other boys in the bedroom at the end of the first day that he was ‘gonna talk to all of them (girls)’.
While the males congratulated him on having three ladies express interest in him, he admitted to feeling little insecure, stating they would realise ‘how f***ing dull I am’ when they talked.
Before entering the Villa, Kai stated that he was ready to face all of the filthy difficulties that would come his way, but that he might also forget about the cameras.
When asked how far he’ll go with the females, he answered, ‘I can’t say right now if I’m going to…’ I imagine that after a while in the villa, you’ve forgotten that you’re being videotaped. If anything happens, it happens, doesn’t it?’
While Adam and Zara weren’t partnered up by the time they both left the programme, they ended up dating for about eight months after, however they parted up in 2019.
Zara described their relationship as ‘toxic’ when they announced their breakup.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
