Britney Spears has advised supporters not to contact the cops if she deletes her Instagram account again.
The 41-year-old performer has been having a terrible time in recent weeks, having fought against rumours that her husband and inner circle were arranging an intervention for her.
Britney, who was released from a 13-year conservatorship last year, also claimed that worried fans contacted the cops to her residence when she temporarily erased her Instagram account.
The diva hasn’t been seen out and about much since leaving the contentious arrangement, preferring to stay at home, but she has been seen out to restaurants and visiting her ‘favourite tree’ with friends and husband Sam Asghari in recent days.
Now, the Toxic singer has posted a video to Instagram showing off a new wardrobe and asking followers not to cross lines.
Britney speaks with what looks to be an Australian accent in the video, which was released on Tuesday, while gleefully holding up a dazzling pink frock to the camera.
‘Okay, great news… last week I made a dress… my girlfriend helped me sew it,’ she began.
‘They sent me a dress I didn’t have to make myself! It’s pink, I can’t believe it.’
Brit then recorded herself showing off the dress from various angles, but without putting it on, and thanked the business who delivered it to her while grinning enthusiastically.
In the middle of this, she added, still in an Australian accent: ‘Guys, I want you to know if I shut down my Instagram do not call the cops.’
Britney then yelled across the room, ‘Don’t ever be a rollercoaster.’
It comes after the celebrity told Twitter followers in January that she was ‘alive and well’ after deactivating her Instagram and begging for fans to respect her privacy.
Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office were said to have come at her house to check on her after her social media blackout, with some admirers urging the relocation.
The singer sent a comment on Twitter, revealing her opinion on the event, amid rumours that she was ‘annoyed’ and ‘mad’ by the intrusion.
‘As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls,’ she began. ‘I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.
‘The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized that there was no issues and left immediately.
‘This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.’
‘During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B,’ she concluded the post.
