Denise Van Outen has ended her 18-month relationship with her partner.
After her seven-year relationship with Eddie Boxshall ended, the TV personality, 49, began dating property developer Jimmy Barba, 55.
Denise and Jimmy made their romance Instagram public last summer and haven’t been hesitant about sharing details about their love on social media.
Unfortunately, these are no longer available.
As per The Sun, Denise and Jimmy’s relationship had run its course.
‘We have decided to part ways but we remain great friends and our families and children are still in touch,’ Denise told the outlet.
Denise met Jimmy when All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis introduced them.
In August of last year, the former Big Breakfast anchor told her co-hosts AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan, ‘We’re spending time together, but we don’t live together at the moment.’
Denise went into further detail in November about the drastic measures she took to keep their affair hidden in its early stages.
She said on Steph’s Packed Lunch: ‘When I started going out with Jimmy, we had to stay indoors for most of our first dates, because we wanted to get to know each other outside of the public eye.
‘So when we went on our very first date, it’s like we’d been let loose, we just went crazy!’
Denise continued: ‘We’d spent weeks sitting in my kitchen just chatting and having a lovely time and getting to know each other, and we went out, and it was like, “We’re out”‘, it was like coming out of lockdown!
‘The first meal we went for, we went to a Turkish restaurant, we sat in the car park, in separate cars, and then I said, it looks empty, we’ll go in. It was nice actually.’
She added: ‘To be honest, I was oblivious to anybody else in the restaurant because I was too busy snogging him.’
Denise was formerly in a relationship with Eddie, and the two featured together on Celebrity Gogglebox.
Their breakup was nasty and public, as Eddie, who began dating Denise in 2041, admitted to sexting other women behind her back.
Denise subsequently talked favourably of Jimmy and how he had managed to keep her spirits up while discussing the betrayal.
‘Obviously, those things weren’t nice to go through, but where I’m at now with Jimmy, who has such a good energy, everything was worth it,’ she told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine.
‘Honestly, I feel like I’m in a nice, happy, good place. I wouldn’t change anything.’
Denise also stated that the breakup allowed her to reconnect with old friends, attend therapy, and learn how to set boundaries.
Announcing her split from Eddie last January, Denise said in a statement: ‘Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie. It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple.’
She continued: ‘I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship. I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories made.’
